Huon Cocoon welcomes people from all walks of life and provides inclusive, non-judgemental, evidence based health and wellbeing therapies for mind and body. When visiting, you will be treated by highly knowledgeable therapists who are university educated and nationally registered professionals.
Our friendly and caring team is a thriving collective of independent therapists, each holding extensive knowledge and skills to support people of the Huon with a wide range of challenges.
Together we offer expertise in psychology assessments, therapy, counselling, social work, massage, acupuncture and moxibustion. We continuously advance our knowledge, staying up to date with innovative approaches to assessment and therapy and pride ourselves on offering exceptional evidence based therapies to support our local Huon community.

Each therapist works part-time and it can take up to a week to reply to messages.
We encourage you to contact your therapist directly to confirm fees and out of pocket costs prior to arranging an appointment. Please note that Bulk billing is not available.

The practice, now known as Cocoon, was initially established as Huon Valley Psychology in 2015, when founder and Director, Janelle Nichols began as sole therapist. Huon Valley Psychology relocated to Skinner Drive in 2017 and changed it's name to Cocoon in 2020. Since then we've scaled into a thriving collective of local independent allied health practitioners who take pride in offering services to our local rural community.
We are located at 6 Skinner Drive, Huonville, opposite Centrelink. Our premises may be familiar to locals as "the old surgery", with many people recalling visits as a child. After breathing new life into this building, the space continues to provide valued local and affordable health and wellbeing services for the mind and body.
